Soft Washing vs. Pressure Washing: Choosing an Approach
A roof, a painted wall, and a concrete driveway are different surfaces. Before booking exterior cleaning, identify the material and describe its condition so the cleaning approach can be chosen for the job.
What is soft washing?
Soft washing is a lower-pressure cleaning approach used on surfaces that do not need, or cannot take, full-strength pressure washing. Delta offers soft washing for exterior surfaces and uses it for roof washing.
The appropriate approach depends on the surface and its condition. Mention existing damage, loose material, coatings, or manufacturer instructions when discussing a quote.
Where does pressure washing fit?
Pressure washing uses pressurized water to clean suitable surfaces. Delta offers pressure washing for driveways and concrete, as well as cleaning for other exterior areas.
Do not assume that every surface can be treated the same way. Describe each area you want cleaned and ask how it will be handled.
What should you tell the cleaner?
List the materials, areas of buildup, access restrictions, and any finishes or damage you already know about. If you want multiple surfaces cleaned, identify each one so the quote can cover the scope you have in mind.
